Hi, I'm having trouble binding a feed for a web banner using dynamic groups in a Swipe Gallery component to be used in AdWords. I want to display image, description and price. When I try to use the binding instructions set by the help files and the videos, I get two separate errors.

Using the feed settings like instructed (image A), the banner shows all the test images but only one description and price (image B).

When I apply the "repeat for each item in the collection" to the dynamic group, I get galleries and text stacked on one another. (images C and D).

I've followed these two help files:

https://support.google.com/webdesigner/answer/6212374?hl=en

https://support.google.com/webdesigner/answer/6321137?hl=en&ref_topic=6084733

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi AJ,

So are you expecting to see each image with its own description and price in the Swipe Gallery? In that case, you will first create a group that contains an image, description and price and set up the bindings respectively. And then you add the group to the Swipe Gallery ("Groups" field in the properties panel) and add the "Repeat for each item" binding to the group inside the gallery.

I have created a sample file for you. Would you like to take a look at the attached file (swipe_gallery_sample.zip)?

In additions, you can also use one of the Dynamic Remarketing for AdWords templates from the Template Gallery to create your banner easily:

Hope this helps!

Thanks,

Emily

Hi, thank you very much! I was able to load the images and the description/price dynamically (E). Now I'm trying to add a dynamic button (CTA) for each product, so that when the user clicks or taps it, it goes to each product's unique URL (F). I added a Tap Component to the group, but it's not clickable or point to the url from the sample feed. The images show the configuration I'm using (G).

What's the right way to link a button dynamically to each product in the feed?

Hi AJ,

Since the TapArea button is inside a group that is inside the Swipe Gallery, you will need to disable "Swipe" function (under the Advanced Properties in the Properties panel) on the Swipe Gallery to make the Swipe Gallery clickable. In addition, you will also need to enable the "Navigation" function on the Swipe Gallery so that you can use the navigation to browse the images in the gallery.

Example:

I have added the above modifications to the sample file. Would you like to try with the new attached file?
