maybe it's supposed to be this way.. but it doesn't make sense to me. as soon as I created a width breakpoint, it becomes impossible to edit text in a textbox, or create anything new (no text, no shapes, no dragging images from the library, etc).. is.. is it meant to be this way??? Does that mean whenever you make a responsive banner you need to FIRST add all assets to the canvas?

Thanks!

Yes, that's the way its supposed to work. You can only change styles with media rules. To make other changes (like create new elements or change text) that has to be done on the "Master Page". Toggle between Master Page and Media Rules in the Responsive panel.

For example, if your text changes with Media Rules, then create both text elements and with media rules just change the Visibility of them to hide & show the correct text.

Hope that helps,

Hi Kent,

OH, so basically all you have to do is toggle back to master rules, and only be on media rules when you want to preview the rules working. Neat! Might be been nice to get a UI promt when you try making changes while on media rules for the n00bs like me, I had no indication that the Master/Media rules selection in the sidebar was even really a setting that affected anything.

Thanks!
