Hello,
I've been working around the audio component with no luck. The Asset Library is not accepting my audio files, what shall I do? change them to another format? I did so, yet in vain. Ok, do I have to change the parameters of the Audio files? I did so, nothing too.
What shall I do? switch to another html5 editor? other than GWD? I think I will do it if I won't have a result here.
Thank you
B.

Hi Bashar,

Currently you can add Images and Video to the  asset library .You can refer to Asset library help here .

Here is the steps to add audio fils to the Audio component :

  1. Drag the Audio component to the stage.
  2. Set the audio properties in the audio properties panel.
3. Enter sources for the audio

Sources :  Lets you specify a URL for multiple audio sources, with the sources separated by commas.
Google Web Designer supports all audio types supported in the HTML5 audio specification, including .mp4, .ogg, and .wav formats.
When setting the Audio component source with local assets, make sure the Audio file is in the same location as the html file.

see the screenshot :

I hope this helps !

Thanks

Sukhbir

Hi there,

I have the same problem and don't manage to add any .wav format file. Impossible for me to import the files as the .wav icons appear greyed out and therefore unclickable...
Then I've tried to drag my audio file in the same location as the html file. I can see it in the file but nowhere else in GWD...

Did I do anything wrong?
Thanks a lot for your help!

Hi Delphine.

You can add the .wav files only through the property panel as I have mentioned that in the earlier  reply .  Currently you cannot import .wav  files in asset library .

Please  add a audio component and set the source in property panels. Please refer to the above thread  for the details

This seems to be way more difficult than it needs to me given the maturity of the product. Why can't we just drag audio to the stage like any other program?

I have a lot of audio files for the project I'm working on and typing in the file names is extremely inconvenient.

Hi. I've tried to add the audio like this. Is there's anything wrong? It's not working right now.

Hi,

I could be wrong, but couldn't you put the sound file in the actual assets file in your gwd working folder and then in sources you type in the path.

ex: Sources: assets/soundname.mp3

It worked for me. Hope that helps!
