Componets need to be on the left with the other widgets

I think the components need to be over on the left with the other widgets (pen, rec, text tools etc). It is confusing because you think components are connected to whatever widget is selected like the rectangular tool or the text tool. It seems that they have nothing to do with these. I finally realized that and it is easier to understand now.

That sounds like a good idea actually. Each component in turn would then open up their respective dialog boxes from an icon click.  It would also leave more space for good things to go on the properties panels.
