I have created a Dynamic ad that works fine in Chrome and Firefox, the animation breaks in Safari but only after the Tap Area exit has been clicked.

If the banner ad isn't clicked the animation plays through on Safari as expected.

Hi Mark,

Would you be able to reply and attach a (pre-publish) sample file with the same issue? We'd like to take a look at the file.

thx!

Hi Mark,

Thank you for sending us your files. I can see that you have used delay in the animation in the banner. We are aware that there is an issue in Safari with using the delay in timeline animation. Safari (at least in the latest version) does pause animations when the tab loses focus, but depending on whether the animation had a delay or not, and whether the tab lost focus while the animation was in its delay period, it doesn't restart the animation as expected, so in preview the animation looks broken.

One way to fix the file is to replace the delay with empty keyframes. I have done that in your file and your banner seems to work better now in Safari. Would you please download the attached file to your project folder and preview it in GWD again?

Thanks,
Emily (GWD Team)

Hi Emily

Thanks for getting back to me, I appreciate the quick response from you and Jaz.
I've tested the file you sent and it works as expected, so I've now been able to replicate the fix in my own files by adding the empty keyframes. :)

Many Thanks
Mark

Hi team,

I've had the same issue with one of my creatives. The animation skips/breaks on exit. See video capture. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cW-VzVAibLk

Attaching here the files. Looking forward to your response.

Thanks!
