Hi,

I'm very new to Google Web Designer.

I've been tasked to convert an expanding flash banner to html5

The banner can be viewed here:

There is an animated sequence where pills fall to fill up the screen. I have used an animated gif for this but the problem is after expanding the banner, the Gif goes out of sync when collapsed.

Is there a command to control when an image loads or unloads that I can add to the timeline?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi Eddie,

I looked at the preview on DoubleClick Studio, but it is hard to tell where the issue occurs.
Could you help me to understand how the animated gif goes out of sync?

Also, is it possible to send us GWD files (pre-published source file in zip) so that we can take a look?

Thanks,
Mariko (GWD team)

Hi Mariko,

Thank you for the response.

However, I managed to do workaround using the "360 gallery" to play the sequence of images instead of the animated gif.

I had to create a duplicate of the last frame over the image since the "360 gallery" component has no controls on which frame to end but ends by looping back to the first frame.

Hi,
Thank you for providing the work-around approach by using 360 gallery.
I think you can add an event to set the end frame so that the gallery ends at the end of the images.
Could you try to set an event to the 360 gallery component?

- Right click the 360 gallery component
- Add event
- 360 gallery:All frames viewed > 360 gallery:Go to frame>
- Set the frame number where you would like to end, and set animation to none.

This way, I think you might not have to add the duplicate of the last frame.

Thanks for using GWD.

Hello again Mariko,

Thanks for the suggestion...however, since the animation loops....the event keeps freezes the gallery on the last frame in the consecutiove loops after the first.
