Hi Google Web Designer

I very satisfied with the program GWD. But I have tried to upload a zip file made in GWD, but it fails. Then I made another one, same situation. I have contacted Google Adwords, but they cannot help.

I have attached my zip-file. It's 104 Kb and I made it in GWD, can't find the problem?

Is there at smart GWD-person, who can help me?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards
Bjarne Pedersen (Denmark)

Hi Bjame,

I noticed that you have the SVG file in your folder.  Adwords doesn't support SVG images.
Please check the Adwords Image ad policy and the FAQ from the following link:

Hi Rika,

thank you very much for your information. Well, as far as I can see Adwords allow to use SVG, as it says in the policy (see attached)

Good - I have now changed the file and it's without svg.

Still - I can't upload to Adwords, it says (in Danish) that some of the code is not correct?

I have attached the new file. Maybe you can see what is wrong.

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Bjarne Pedersen

Hi Bjame,

Thanks for sending me the updated file.

I tried to upload your zip file to Adwords and I got the following error:

"The ad you uploaded contains HTML5 code that we cannot allow in our ads: Multiple exits"

Do you have multiple exit events in your code?

In the Adwords policy, it says "for environment target actions, timer and multiple exits are not supported."

If you update your file so that it contains only one exit event and still see the issue,
please attach your pre-published file (source code) so that we can debug.

Thanks,
Rika

Hi Rika,

thank you very much for your support and patience. I appreciate your help.

I changed the exit and now I was able to upload to Adwords.

Regarding the pre-published file - what exactly do you need. A txt file with the source code or?

By the way - do Adwords support svg or not?

Anyway, thank you very much and have a nice day "overthere"

Best regards,
Bjarne

Glad you were able to upload the file to Adwords.
Looks like they support svg in the HTML5 ad - I was looking at the wrong place in their Help page: Non-animated Image ad and Animated image ad.  Sorry about that.
Pre-published file is the authoring file that you can open in GWD.  We cannot debug unless we open your index.html file in GWD and check the code.

Thanks for using Google Web Designer!

Okay, I have now attaced the zip-file with all the files. Hopefully you are able to see the source code.
Once again - thank you!
Have a nice weekend.

Hi Rika, just for your information. I cannot upload a file including svg items.
You are right! Adwords does not support svg, even though they say it in the guide.
Best regards,
Bjarne
