Whether I set it to 'standard', 'preview' or 'intro', nothing happens.
The only way of getting the player to autoplay is to set extra-player-args="autoplay=1". But that's not what the 'preview' or 'intro' modes are supposed to do.
Can anyone help on this? I'm working on a YT custom masthead and I'd love to play the video muted in preview mode.
Many thanks,
Luca
I prepared 2 tests.
The first was made in GWD, starting from the template you suggested. The video player is set to autoplay="intro" and preview-duration="5". When viewed, the player does not autoplay.

The second test was made in a text editor, simply using the latest GWD youtube player component. Here the video player is set to autoplay="preview" and preview-duration="30". When viewed, the player does not autoplay either.

Has this setting being dropped??
Is there anywhere I can report a bug to one of the GWD components?
Many thanks,
Luca
Lastly, this link suggests that one should be able to use the GWD YouTube Player in any HTML5 creative: https://support.google.com/richmedia/answer/6330771?hl=en-GB
But I agree it seems not to be fully working.
Thanks,
Luca
To be noted though, I'm on Win 10 64-bit.
I have now tried on 3 different PCs (all on Win 10 64-bit) with both Chrome 32-bit and 64-bit. I've disabled all extensions and plugins. But the video still does not autoplay. One of the Chrome browsers I tried was freshly installed.
Would you be able to do one last test on a Win 10 64-bit machine?
Many thanks,
Luca
I can confirm they both do not autoplay for me on Chrome Win10, while they do on all other browsers.
Thanks for looking into this.
Luca
Thanks for logging the issues. Should you need any further info, do let me know.

Ah okay, makes sense. Thanks for the quick reply!
