Any special requirements for the new GWD (Ver. 1.2.1.0121) to work on Linux Ubuntu 14.04 with i3WM?

Hello,

First of all I would like to say Thank you for your efforts on bringing such tool for easy web elements design.

I have tried GWD before this new release and everything was fine until the latest update in which the 1.2.1.0121 arrived to me via software upgrade in Linux Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, now it seems that I need something else to make it work but everything is yet working in the previous release.

I have two computers, one Thinkpad Lenovo T-400 and a generic Intel Core2Quad based desktop computer.

Both them are running Linux and the Core2Quad seems to be running fine, I don't have the right version at the moment but when I upgraded the T400 I found a bug which is probably happening just to me and I share it here in order to look for some help.

The software installs pretty fine via .deb file which I installed by dropping the next line in a terminal:

sudo dpkg -i google-webdesigner_current_amd64.deb

After which GWD opened perfectly and it took a while to draw everything on screen. This was the only time it delayed on launching, the next attempts have been fast and nimble.

When I hit the "File" menu and choose the "New file" option I get the "Create new file" dialog in which I am supposed to choose the project's characteristics.

BTW: Ctrl+N won't show the "Create new file" dialog.

So far so good, but when I try to set the project's specs, I can't choose any options from the dropdown elements and I can't even write on the text boxes that are designed to write on.

The dropdown seems to try drawing, then suddenly (in fractions of a second) it disappear giving no chance to choose anything.

If I try just to write the filename on the textbox I ca't click on it, the cursor won't remain in order to allow me inserting text.

I don't know if this is related to my Window Manager, I am using i3 Window Manager (i3WM) on Ubuntu 14.04. The same happens on Unity and Unity 2D Desktop Manager.

If you need further information about the operating system, its components or the computer itself, please don't hesitate to let me know.

I appreciate a lot any help.

Thank you very much.

Oh! I almost forget: I have tried the trick of deleting the cache directory, which results in GWD to delay on the first launch as if it is the very first time it launches. After which the same behaviour is observed. Thank you!
