Hi Guys!

I have to make an ad, that pauses at a certain frame after looping twice.
But to be honest I have no idea, how to do that.

I did a loop, but dont know how to stop at the excact frame. Do I need to work with a counter or somehow?

I'm not a Script-Genius so thanks, for explaining as easy as possible.

Thanks for your help!

Hi Jaz,

Thanks for the quick response.

Sadly this doesnt help me much.
Is there a way to create an event that pauses the loop?

Hi Simon,

Please open the attached file and see how loop and pause works using event markers in Timeline.

I set "GotoAdnPlayNtimes" (1 loop) and then "Pause" event after.

If this is not what you try to achieve, then please let us know.

Thanks,
Mariko (GWD team)

Is there a way to have it looping twice and on the 3rd run pause before the loop event? I have an ad that fades out the assets for a smooth transition between the loops but it would be great to pause before the last loop so assets are still visible?

I have created a similar effect described by dalelewisdesign where I loop a few times and on the last loop I want to stop a few frames short.
This was accomplished with a couple custom functions; one that counts the number of loops (store in a global variable like gwd.count), and another event on my stopping frame that checks if I am on the 3rd loop and if so, then pause the timeline.

Hope that helps,

There are a few threads discussing this same issue right now, and San's suggestion on this thread is preferred due to the pause event in Safari.

You can create another page without fade and set up an event to go to that page after looping 3 times.
