Dear GWD Team,

I am having many issues in AdWords environment with a swipeable gallery and multiple exit urls. Some Agencies seem to able to handle it without problem but the majority have problem they are unable to handle the campaign without an id tag (MetricID).

Is there a way to add a metricID to these multiple urls?

In your blog you didn't specify how to do that:

You just described you can add a metricID in a "standard" way and using the exit-urls of the components, not using both at the same time.

If agencies, even the one that use DfP, are unable to handle this kind of component you had better to denied these components to AdWords or fix it in order to have a MetricID even if you are using the multiple exits of the components.

Thanks,

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

I'm assuming you are talking about dynamic ads for AdWords correct? Let me reach out to my AdWords contact regarding tracking to see how metric ID is used for dynamic remarketing ads in AdWords.

Thanks,

Hi There,

Did you have a chance to receive any follow up about this topic?

I received a lot of complaining from all my agencies because the multiple exits and thus I had to change all the ads to have one product only for and just one url exit.

Thanks,

Daniel

Daniele,

My AdWords eng contact got back to me and said multiple exits are not allowed on non-dynamic ad, even if they are from the same domain. This is the way it is now anyway. That might change in the future when multiple exits might be supported in AdWords. For now, you must use dynamic for multiple exits to different product urls.

In addition, in AdWords, there is no custom reporting at creative level, that means advertiser can never slice by metricId. The only thing they can get from UI is how many clicks the creative has in total. So it means metric id or multiple metric ids are not useful in the AdWords case.

Here are what I could found:

I'm obviously not an expert for AdWords related questions. You can also use the AdWords Community Forum for any question you might have.

Hope it helps.
