Google Web Design Not working in my system

I have Windows 8  (x34), 4GB RAM, processor Intel i3, 1366x768 resolution - so all requirements are met.

After I download googlewebdesigner_win.exe from website, and click on run, nothing happens at all - no activity.

It just shows a black screen GWD is already installed, internet connection is working, I am administrator user... not sure what else to do as I can't get it to run at all.

What could be the cause of this? Do you need some more info in order to help me? there was no error shown during the installation.

Hi Manish,

I'm sorry you are running into this issue. Please try updating your video driver. If that still fails, please try disable gpu rendering to see if it helps.

1. Quit Google Web Designer if it's running.

• On Windows add a DWORD32 value named disable-gpu-rendering to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google\Web Designer\Settings in the registry. Set this value to 1.
• On Mac add a Boolean row to ~/Library/Preferences/com.google.WebDesigner.plist with a name disable-gpu-rendering and a value of YES
  
• On Linux add a row to ~/.local/share/google-web-designer/preferences/settings.conf with a name disable-gpu-rendering and a value of true (If the [Settings] section doesn't exist, you'll need to create it first.)

2. Launch Google Web Designer.

I have the same issue using an Acer Aspire and Ubuntu 18.04 it just doesnt start

when i check my logs the following error exists.

/usr/bin/google-webdesigner: error while loading shared libraries: libgconf-2.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

installed libgconf2-4 and it resolved the issue .
