Hi,
My libraries are a mess. When I import a new image it will duplicate it's name. For example bg.jpg will become bg_1.jpg
If I want to keep reimporting stuff then it end up out of control. The best way I can figure out to manage this is to replace the name of the file I am using within the assets folder. But due to the amount of assets it creates they are hard to locate. Only when I publish locally can I see the files it is actually using. Is there a way to delete unused items in the library so I only see what assets the html is using in the assets folder? How are you guys managing this?

Hi Benji

Are you importing the same or a new image and rename it to have same name?  If you are continually importing the same image or a new image with the same name, you will get "bg_1.jpg", "bg_2.jpg", "bg_3.jpg", etc and that is by design.  Also, you can rename the asset in the library by double click on the asset or right click on it to use "Rename" option in the context menu.  No need to go to the assets folder to rename the asset.  For deleting unused items, you can use the "Trash bin" icon or right click on the item and choose "Delete" from the context menu.

Please visit our help page for Library:
