Hi,

I am looking to implement a third party tracking tag (see attached). Essentially the client submitted creative via GWD for upload in Adwords. They have requested to add in specific third party tracking pixels to measure against Roy Morgan Helix profiles not available other than on those tags? To implement via adwords takes time so, to speed up the process I recommended adding the trackers into the code via GWD (attached).

Do you see any issues in uploading via this method? Will it cause issues in adwords? If anyone has experience with implementing third party tags and best practice would love to hear from you.

Hi Ben,

I checked with the AdWords team and this is not allowed because if any unknown url is detected, the ad either fails to upload or is rejected during ad review.
For any ad needs impression beacon, advertiser needs to contact Google to get it done.  Ben, do you have an AdWords contact that can help you with this?

Hope it helps,
San

Hi San,

No I don't have an adwords account manager - I'm beta testing a product for a client. There campaign is due live today so the implementation needs to be done ASAP

Hi San,

The other issue is when we have contacted AdWords and set-up the beacon after 1 day the pixel drops off. An explaination for this was "they do not have monitoring in place" - therefore we would need to monitor and reprise the tag to AdWords everytime we noticed that we stopped receiving data - so it's not viable solution for a 30 day campaign? Why is this happening? I'm sure there are plenty of third party tracking pixels used for Adwords accounts? Why are we having difficulty in executing this?
