Multi Directional Expanding Ads

What's the best way for setting up multi directional expanding ads in GWD so that ads will expand in different directions depending on where they appear on a site? Not finding any info and the template doesn't seem to have any option for MDE.

What's the recommendation if you need the expandable ad to expand in certain directions base don where it appears on the page (for example, if it's on the right it expands left and if it's on the left, it expands right).

It seems that many vendors require this functionality for expanding ads.
