Hey there - awesome product guys I'm extremely excited about this app.

I'm having issues animating the color and/or opacity of text. I've animated a small section of text that moves into the frame from off to the left and that worked fine.

I wanted to have it fade in as well but am at a loss - when I change the color with a keyframe selected, it will change the color of the text throughout the entire timeline (even if I move to another section and change that color).

Is this not a completed feature yet? Or am I doing something incorrectly?

There are problems with colour and the engineering team are aware of them. But I've not experienced any problems using the opacity setting. Perhaps the team will be able to reproduce the issue and make a fresh log of the bug?  :-)

Hi Max ,

For animating the  color and opacity for the text .Please follow the below steps . Please make sure  to select the keyframe when animating   color / opacity  or any styles as well.

1. Draw your text container and type in your text.

2. Click outside of the element (this will remove the cursor, but keep selection on the container).

3. Use the text toolbar to change the font color.

4. Insert a new  keyframe.

5. With the Text container element still selected, use the Text toolbar to change the font color for the selected keyframe.

For the fade-in and out option. You can change  the opacity option from PI  for selected keyframe and  Text container

I hope this help.

Thanks

Sukhbir

I figured out what the issue is. I'm able to create movement and color animation UNLESS I have placed a drawn element into the frame - <canvas>

I'm able to recreate this every time - I even had it working, added a rectangle in the background (for background color) and POOF - the animation is broken.

Looks like it breaks the animation when you add SVG elements as well

Sure thing - I'm sending it now! Hopefully this helps squish some bugs because this program is great.

I'm on an iMac at work running Mavericks. I'll try it on my PC at home to see if I can reproduce the issue and get back with you all tomorrow.

Hi l.barbot@lexpressproperty.com

I could not reproduce the issue.  Do you have the specific steps that we can try? or a test file that we can debug?

Thanks,
Jason

Trying to understand your answer and... I don't. Changing opacity in selected frame, it changes in the whole timeline, so fade animation doens't work. Please help!
