Some Google Web Designer Beta Bugs I Found

Hello everyone!

Here are some bugs in GWD beta I found.

1. Text - adding text in GWD can be quite frustrating. Most of the time, the text won't follow the properties you set via the Options Panel (color, text alignment). To properly format the text, do so via the CSS Panel. I also found out that pasting text from other applications (e.g. Photoshop), causes more bugs to appear. I suggest typing the text manually.
2. Previewing tall files - I don't know if this is a bug or a lacking feature. But every time I play my animations, GWD scrolls back to the top of the file. Thus, I couldn't properly view the animation at the bottom of an ad at close up.
3. Text Color pop-up box - sometimes it fails to load.
4. Font Size - font sizing is also buggy. Sometimes, two lines of text in the same container have different font sizes/styles. One workaround I found is to set the font style first before typing the text in.

Can you provide a bit of detail, or a sample file of the loop bugs you are running into? We would like to investigate, but need a bit more info to proceed.

Hello,

I've installed x64 version of GWD (version 1.3.2.0521, shell 1.1.7.0) on my Fedora 21 (laptop ASUS K55).
For some reason any of text input fields (yes, I mean - ANY) is not writable. Somehow the program does not reads my keyboard input. I can't even invoke keyboard shortcuts like ctrl+O or ctrl+N.
So, work becomes impossible, because I can not even start a new project without writing its name.
Btw, on windows 10 (same laptop) everything works great.
Any ideas?

Same for me on Linux Mint 17.2. Can't even decide whether GWD has potential, since I can't create anything(

Hi cyb3r.kn19ht ,

Are you having issue when entering filename in the create new file dialog ?

If yes,then this is a known issue :

• Google Web Designer sometimes loses focus and is unable to take keyboard input when switching between apps.  
• Workaround: resize the Google Web Designer window to bring focus back to the app.
  

or else you can give us more details to reproduce the issue here or send us your log files to gwd-s...@google.com so we can investigate it further.

The application doesn't hold the correct number of layer animation loops between sessions. For my purposes, the target is "3". Several (but not all) of the layers will revert to "2" between one session and the next launch of the application.
