Hi all. just got into this GWD. coming from Flash and then Edge Animate.

Is there a way to change the center point of images and such? I can't find anything anywhere about.
When I scale my image it scales from the upper right corner.  ACK!

Thanks in advance!

There is no center point for resizing image. You can set center point for rotation. But for resizing you should relocate (Top & Left on the properties of the image) the image again.

Hello,

I am sorry about the inconvenience.
Could you try to hold down ALT(Option) key and move the transform handle to scale?
That should resize an element from the center point.

Thanks,

Thanks.

My issue is that i want the animation of the image to scale from center. right now it scales from the upper left corner/registration point in.

looking forward to seeing where GWD goes... just wish G didn't force us to use it for ads when it's still in beta. I had to rebuild all my banners that i made in Adobe Edge. Took 10x longer and less dynamic animation. It slows down to a super crawl when i have more than a couple pngs on screen.  Not blaming the developers... it's a lot to do to get a program like this up and running, but it's a bit silly that G made the switch from Flash to HTML5 this unprepared (love you G though!).

btw. can you make motion paths up in this joint yet?

and is there any way to use Adobe Edge for now for adwords and double-click?

I have a ton of notes on how to improve the program. little things like fading out the lock image if it isn't used.... it's too similar locked and unlocked right now that it takes more than a glance to recognize it's state. etc...  Hire me full time at Google in Pittsburgh? ;)  www.kookaburrito.com

I have another quick question Mariko if you have the time.

I made a bunch of ads for adwords. They work. Now I want to take those same ads and have them work for double-click (without rebuilding). How do I do this?

Thanks in advance! :D

Hello,

AdWords files should just work fine for DoubleClick. Please try.

In case you would like to change the environment, then please change this line in the code, please refer to this thread https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/gwdbeta/OvvG6Kg4P7c/WZYhqCwbZ3kJ

Another thing about resizing proportionally, please use SHIFT KEY. Sorry that I forgot to mention that.

Thanks,
Mariko (GWD team)

But in most cases we dont use free transform, we enter values for height and width for precise scale transform and in that case we need center point.

I know this is an old thread but I had the same problem.

The solution is to go into the CSS panel and in the gwd-img block, scroll down until you see the absolute positioning code that GWD has created.

For me - I wanted the origin 0,0 to be at the top right. I replaced "left:0px" with "right:0px" and this solved my problem.
