Hi there,

Apologies for the lengthy message, but I have an up and coming brief and think GWD could be a great solution but wanted to get clarification on a few things before I go ahead and am hoping you could advise re the below?

When I upload my creative to studio, the primary index file is 64kb vs compressed 15.5kb. Is the file delivered in the compressed 15kb to publishers and would therefore pass the 40kb initial weight limit as per the majority of publisher guidelines?

I also have a total 100kb weight guideline from the media agency, so would the creative template be measured as a compressed or uncompressed file as shown in studio?

Regarding polite load please could you advise whether it's the whole creative or everything after the index file that is polite loaded when selected during publishing?

Lastly I realise this is a long shot, but do happen to have any insight as to what % of publishers deliver their creative compressed vs uncompressed.

Apologies again for so many questions but any clarification on the above would be great,

Many thanks!

Hi,

Studio recognizes the compressed size, so you would clearly be under limit in that case. I would also check the publisher guidelines to ensure they also consider the compressed file size.

I found a great resource within the Rich Media Help Center that outlines polite loading.
Note: while you do not need to "set up" polite loading in Web Designer, this resource should help clarify the feature.

While I don't have percentages, in taking a quick look, almost all Web Designer creatives uploaded into Studio are compressed published files.

thx!
