Problem with Google Web Designer

I have recently installed the Google web designer. But unfortunately it doesn't open in my system. It only displaying a white window and nothing at all.

Please help me. 

My system configuration is  Window 7 Ultimate SP1 64 bit with 3 GB RAM

I tried to install in an old PC winxp and I'm also having some problems. It's showing a dll error message when I try to open it:

something like 'can't find GetSystemDefaultLocaleName in the KERNEL32.dll library'

Hey, but my problem is different. It open in my system but display only a white window and nothing else, also it doesn't give me any error message.

Does the white window happen when you click on
googlewebdesigner_win.exe to install it or on Google Web Designer
after it's already been installed?

No. I have already installed the .exe file. I am trying to open the appilcation form the program menu.

I don't know exactly what is happening on yours, but for me I don't have a File Menu to create a new file. Is your screen just a blank screen too?

Hey guys,

Seems like Web Desginer cannot make the request to load the main application. Can you guys provide a bit more information on the kind of network you are using. 

Specifically, are you behind a firewall or have any special network configuration (home, public place, work)?

I'm at work with a firewall. I can test it without a firewall too, just in case. A friend here test it on a PC/Windows 7 and it works. He is behind the same firewall.
Let me check it with my 3G connection and see if works.

is this application run with internet connection or without it ? ... is it not like other application like Dreamweaver ?

As the help page states, the internet connection is only required when launching the first time. After that the application is cached and can work offline.

problem here is that it ran through the install process just fine, but it never created a program. At least not that's accessible through the programs menu. system specs; dual core pentium processor 2.3 ghz, 2gb ram, win 7 profession 32-bit.

tengo el mismo problema. La primera vez que lo instalé corrió bien, la segunda quedó la pantalla en negro completo. probé desinstalar pero sigue pasando lo mismo :/

i have the same problem. the first time works good, but the second time on, the screen goes black. I tried reinstalling but still with the black screen problem.

Hi,I have the same problem. Gwd shows blank screen when I start it. After several minutes gwd sometimes showed the menu and toolbar but I can not do anything even I created a new ad. Is it related with my network? I'm in China. Win 8, 4GB ram.

We have included a fix to the white screen issue with our latest update today. If you experienced this issue, can you please:

1. Set your proxy settings
2. Re-launch GWD (ensure you have auto updated to v1.1.0.0723)
