Hi All,

Since the update we have not been able to open any of our previously created banners. You click the html file and nothing happens, no error msg at all.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Need a response ASAP as we have a lot of banner deadlines approaching.

I have noticed that I cant place links to external font libraries in the banners. I have tried to link a 'webtype' one and a google font one. the banner appears to crash once this link happens.

This was on a newly created banner

Hi Dean,

Regarding the issue with file not open, I sent this to Paul in a separate post:

I'm sorry you are running into this issue. Can you please enable verbose logging in Edit > Preferences > Advanced, relaunch Google Web Designer, try to open a file, then quit Google Web Designer and attach browser.log to this post?

After that, please quit Google Web Designer, delete the cache and relaunch it.
  • Windows: HD:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Google\Google Web Designer\data\cache (note: you need to enable “Show hidden files, folders, and drives” in Folder options View tab)
  • Linux: ~/.local/share/google-web-designer/data/cache
  • Mac: /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Google/Web Designer/data/cache

For the external link issue, can you please share the author file with us?  Open the file in Google Web Designer, select File > Save as zip...and upload the zip to Drive and share the url with us either here or at gwd-s...@google.com.

Thanks,
San
Google Web Designer team

Hi San,

Happy Friday!

Many thanks for your response! Apologies i have only just seen it.

I have cleared the cache and attached the browser.log. Our banners unfortunately still do not open.

Below you will find a link to download the author file, it includes a link to an external stylesheet and does not open.

This gwd project was created within the last version of GWD. It also opened within it. The line i feel is causing the issue is - <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="https://cloud.webtype.com/css/671dd55f-2f78-41c1-8f60-f2f3cd70cf4c.css" media="all">. We really need a way to link to our hosted font while working within GWD.

I look forward to your response.

All the best

Dean

Hi Dean,

Thanks for giving us the file to test. We can reproduce the issue and have logged a bug internally. We will have our developer look into it.

Thanks,
Emily
