I'm working on creating a full screen expandable ad with a photo gallery in it. Will the page speed be affected by the size of the images in the photo gallery or is the HTML5 generated by GWD smart enough to only load the images when the ad is clicked (since the gallery is on the expandable screen and not the main unit itself)?

If it's not, any tips / tricks to making it "lazy load" so the ad does not affect the overall page speed?

Your feedback is appreciated.

Hi Ash,

There are a few options that may help you. Polite loading is selected by default when you publish and you can also set up a default loading image if you like. Please see the articles below and let us know if you need anything more!
    • Polite loading - loads only the initial load until the hosting page finishes loading. Then any additional assets are loaded
thx!
