Has anyone tried using the Pixel Loader component?

I have a client that has the 1x1 tracking pixel and I got the component to load to GWD on laptop (still won't add on work PC), so far it seems to work on the laptop, but now that I got the darn thing, I'm not sure how to use it.

Do I just put the tracking pixel in the URL field? And then how do I trigger it? Under Events?

I just need to be talked through it one time, I'll take all the help I can get.

Thanks -- Jenny

And what does "Cumulative loading" mean?

I just want to get this right.

HI Jenny,

Here is the article to explain how to use PixelLoader component from DoubleClick help site.

Could you take a look and see if that helps you?

Of course I already looked at that. It's still confusing to me. I simply wanted to know if anyone else has tried it, what they did and if it worked.

Hi Jenny,

once you need to do once you have added the component to the stage is:
- adding the URL of the pixel in the URL property field
- choose how to trigger it, either by some predefined events or manually, i.e. using the Pixel Loader > Load pixel action in the Event panel, as shown here: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/l7G9Ksnb24pLYIkWp_zAYZm2sEs9uxbUKLsBCkHiwavIZPtfL-0gv2AveFAMPw=w527)

The list of available events and detailed information about each property are in the help center article you've already seen: https://support.google.com/richmedia/answer/6308134?hl=en-GB, although I just did a quick test and realized that a couple of those event names are not reported correctly:
Interaction should be interaction
PAGE_LOADED should be pageLoaded
I'll ask to update that in the article.

Let us know if something is still not clear!

Oh darn, I used PAGE_LOADED. Do I need to change it?

I can send in my files if you can take a look at it.

Hi Jenny,

yes, I'm afraid you'll need to change it to pageLoaded.
You'll easily be able to check it's working correctly previewing the creative in a browser and checking the network calls in the developer tools to see your 1x1 tracker being loaded.

Hope this helps.
