Masking layers with shapes?

Masking was a superb tool in flash, alllowing lots of effects.
Is it possible to do this in GWD?

Hi, thanks for the feature request.

GWD is not currently supporting masking capability in UI, but we have received lots of requests regarding the functionality.

Hi Paolo,

This is something we are still investigating, but yes, we agree a very highly regarded feature and one we look forward to releasing. I'll update the forum when we have more to share.

This was the first thing what I wanted to try out in GWD. It is really important because makes the ads much lighter in file size. Not to mention all the animation effects. Is there a workaround to do masking in GWD. Do we need to use CSS or Javascript?
