Responsive AdWords Ad

Hi,

We recently created some banner ads for Adwords, but the file only displays as 300x250 when we upload it. We made sure to click the responsive tab before creating, and when checking the responsive  tab (supported sizes) our size range says unbounded. Why do only the 300x250 ads appear on Adwords instead of the multiple sizes?

Hi Angel,

When you create a Responsive Adwords ad and publish it locally it should show the Size drop down menu to select the  ad size.You can publish the same file with  different ad size  and upload to Adwords.

Make sure your ad have media rules in your ad.If it still not working would you please send us your source file? You can upload the file to Google drive and send us the link at gwd-s...@google.com

Hi Sukhbir,

Thank you for replying.

When we try to publish it locally, we only get one size. With responsive ads aren't they supposed to work with every size? How come when we publish to Adwords we only get 300x250 if the ad is responsive?

Hi Angel,

Thanks for sending us the files. As I have mentioned earlier in my reply for uploading the responsive file you have to individually publish the ad size and upload them with different size to Adwords.

I was also able to upload your file with different Ad size in Adwords.

Hi Ez,

With responsive, you only need to author one ad in Google Web Designer. Google Web Designer is ahead of the game in responsive. Eventually responsive will be supported in AdWords, Studio, etc.

So Creating a Responsive Ad in GWD is rather for the purpose of being able to create one and then export it individually in all the sizes AdWords offers without recreating each one, rather than creating one and exporting it as an autonomous Ad that will fit all the sizes automatically... Am I understanding you correct?

I just found an article that talks about building HTML5 Responsive Ads, but the ones that scale themselves. Is it possible to build that kind of an ad in GWD?
