I'm using it with a swipeable gallery and I wonder if it is possible to use custom thumbnails, instead of the ones automatically created, using the images shown in the gallery.

Hi,

Do you mean you want to combine several elements (i.e. images, text, animation) to make a customized thumbnail?
If that is what you want, you may want to use the Group feature.  Here is a video showing how to add groups:

Then, you can add the groups as thumbnails in the Groups field in the Swipeable gallery properties (i.e. Group1,Group2,...)

If this is not the case, please elaborate so that we can better assist you.

Thanks,
Rika

Hi Rika,

For every image shown in my gallery, there is a corresponding thumbnail image shown.

So for gallery image GA1, there is a corresponding thumbnail image TH1. GA1 and TH1 both contain the same image but TH1 is smaller than GA1. When you click TH1, GA1 is shown at gallery center. TH1 was automatically created based on content of GA1.

Is it possible to bypass this automatic thumbnail creation procedure? I want to create my own thumbnails for my gallery. I want my thumbnails to contain whatever images I choose and pair them with whatever gallery images I choose.

Regards

Costas

Hi Costas,

Sorry, looks like I misunderstood your question.
Currently, the thumbnail size is one size and cannot be changed.  Its by design.
I will file the feature request on your behalf to make it customizable.

Yes, I was working on the same thing. It would be extremely helpful if we could edit the following:

  1. Make any "object" or component a navigation button including pictures, animated gifs, movies, and text.
  2. A "free transform tool" for these navigation buttons.
  3. Animation of navigation buttons/thumbnails.
One thing that I was really annoyed with (Google Web Designer) was that I couldn't find a layers panel.
I mean... come on. lol But hey, I can't complain too much about freeware that's as close as one can get to being opensource
without actually being opensource.

Thank you Google! You hit another Home run!

Hi RandomDude31,

It sounds like you are using quickmode for animation so you don't see the layers.  To see the layers, switch to advanced mode.

I will log a feature request for the ability to customize navigation for the gallery.

Thanks,
San
