Dear all,

In any case, i and other GW Residents want to know what the substance is and where it comes from?????????
Everybody are confident that it is possible to identify what the substance is. So we wonder why you can not get a clear result ???
I am afraid that the ones who tested the water samples, do not dare to declare what it is because it was dangerous element and not good for our health in long term.
I got the dirty water several times, both before and after you cleaned water tanks. So the problem is the water itself, not water pipes or tanks.
Because i do not get dirty water every times/every days, so even if you come to take 7 (or more) water samples, you will not be able to find out the fact and can not settle the problem.

Hence i wd like to say again that the key point to settle this matter is we need to identify what the substance is and where it comes from.....
One more time i recommend Mr Chris to bring with you the water sample to USA and have it tested/inspected there.

Pls do not forget that GW Resident hv been paying Leonidas VND7,350 per M3 of water instead of VND4,000 as regulated by VN Government (the price we pay you is almost double the regulated price), so Leonidas/HVTS have to provide us with water of high quality in stead of normal water from Water supply Company.

Remark: Before i move to GW, i already stayed at various houses/Cities and i had never got the same dirty water. So i really shock when i got this dirty water
at GW, the high class Resident Complex in Ha Noi.

Waiting for yr clear Inspection report.
tks

H.Son

Subject: RE: Mr. Son's water

Lien,

Yes I realize that our water is whatever the city gives us so I understand the context of what was said. I’d like to suggest that we take 7 samples over seven days using wash size containers large enough to hold several liters of water. I’d like to have a visual inspection and reference to determine if the substance in the water is decreasing with time. At the end of seven days, we will have seven containers to examine. If it’s true that the substance is just residue, we should be able to see that it is decreasing.

Please arrange with Mr. Son as soon as possible if he will allow us to do this.

Thank you,

Regards,

Dear Chris,

You know that we use water from city’s water supply company. According to the water test result by the Environment Institute, our water in general is up to requirement by the Health Ministry. As advice from the expert of Environment Institute, the substance in the water may be the residues in the pipe or in the water tank. All the water tanks on rooftop have been clean by our staff and I think that the water is OK for now.

Anyway, I suggest to go to Mr. Son’s apartment to check the water directly from the pipe within one week. We will try to find solution after we have the water checked.

How about your opinion?

Regards
Lien

Dear Mr Chris,

Thank you for your attention to this serious problem.
Pls identify what the substance is by all means (I recommend you to take the water sample with you when you return USA end of this month and have it tested in USA).
Pls understand that not only my apartment has this problem, but all other apartments hv been using the same water.

Waiting for your test result.
tks
H.Son

Subject: Mr. Son's water
Dear Lien and Thanh,

I spoke with Mr. Son yesterday and he said he is still having problems with his water. The recent report that was given to me regarding his water is a water quality report and doesn’t identify the substance that is in his water.

Please find a water laboratory either certified or uncertified to identify the substance in his water. The size of the substance is large enough that it should be very easy to identify. Mr. Son has agreed that if we need to take another sample that we may do so.

Until we have proper identification, it’s very difficult to find a solution to this problem. I expect your full attention to be on this problem and we not stop until we have a solution to clean up Mr. Son’s water problem. Please place this at the top of your list of priorities.

Please report to me with an action plan to test and resolve the water from Mr. Son.

Thank you,

Regards,

Dear Mr. Son,

It appears you’ve misunderstood my email to Lien requesting 7 day sampling. In no way did I say we would NOT find out what the substance is. This is an investigation into the water problem and all things must be thoroughly checked to isolate the exact problem. An incomplete investigation will give an incomplete answer, so all diagnostic steps are very important.

You had previously said to me that the water is consistently dirty yet in this latest email you’re saying it’s inconsistent.  The effect of not having accurate information helps explain why staff is having a difficult time identifying the problem, because inconsistent and consistent water quality problems require substantially different diagnosis action.

Regarding identification of the substance; The solid substance is a nuisance, yet we don’t have anything to suggest this substance is a substantial threat to health as our November water tests in the building were within water quality standards. If harmful, the presence of the substance would have given much different water results.

My staff is still diligently working on finding a Vietnam laboratory to identify the substance, yet with your request that I take the sample to the US for testing, you understand the difficulty of finding an adequate laboratory in Vietnam to carry out this testing. Be assured that we will take necessary steps to identify the substance.

With all due respect, what we need from you to properly complete this investigation is: Accurate information regarding exactly “when” and “how much” of the substance is seen in the water along with your personal cooperation, patience and trust in our staff to carry out this investigation. As I said we will get to the bottom of this problem.

Your anticipated cooperation will be greatly appreciated.
