Chapter 1 draft writer

Hey guys,

Well, we've talked about it for a week. It's time to choose someone to write Chapter 1. Since this is our first section, I'd like to go over my process for selecting a writer:

1) In general, it's first-volunteer-first-serve

2) If you wrote the previous section, you go to the back of the queue to prevent you writing so much that you burn out.
Note: there is no previous section now, but that also means that if you write Chapter 1 (The Basics) then you'll be at the back of the line for writing Chapter 2 (How to take part [in the club]), which focuses on what makes up the club and how it fits together.

3) You chapter draft is due to me one week after it's assigned. That's the first draft. I'll make typographic edits, spelling and grammar edits, and everyone will get another chance to comment and make substantial edits before it's sent to Liam and finalized.

A draft is due on 14 Apr 2013, one week from Sunday. So, volunteers?

Okie doke, so... no one volunteered. I'm going to give three names on Monday, in mostly random order of who's commented on this chapter in the past week and seems to be interested in it. I'd like them to step up and say yes or no to doing it, and if I get three no's then I'll do it.

Also, the next chapter goes up for discussion tomorrow. I'll post that in a few minutes.

If each of them would kindly comment yes/no, that'd be lovely.

If I don't hear from one of you, I'll assign it to you. If someone says yes, they get the job. If you all say no, I'll do it. As I noted previously, whoever writes Chapter 1 will not be on duty for Chapter 2.

Since you already managed to write much of Ch. 1 Sec. 1, I figured it was only natural to put you at the top of the list for the rest of Ch. 1. Let me know if I can help you in any way, and I'll look forward to reading your first draft next week.
