to GW SIG Tools Initiative
To all,
Per the call with Celtx, it has become necessary to begin amassing the
terminology used in our day-to-day work for game writing. For those
who have had a chance to take a look at Celtx, you may have noticed
the tool allowing you to drop in commonly used sript terms such as
"INT" for an interior scene or "EXT" for exterior. Other terms that
are used over and over in a common script were also listed. And that's
what we need.
Keep in mind that this does not have to be limited to cut-scene
terminology because the tool we are looking for (in the grand scheme)
is something that interacts with many other areas of the project.
Therefore, if you consistently interact with programmers and they see
actual documentation that you work on, and you're always indicating
something (be it acronyms or inside jargon), post it here. We're
looking to collect info here before going to a SIG-wide survey, so
spend a few minutes in reflection of your job and pull out those
terms! (And no, "I can has hamburger?" is not really what we're
looking for)
Thank you in advance,
Drew McGee
