Hey guys, just an update. The Calvin coach out of respect for Karl's memorial has moved the game to a 2pm kickoff. They will also be having a moment of silence for Karl before the game, along with wearin black tape on their sleeves. This is a class act by them. Anyone who can should go to this game, even if you're not playing. If not for your teammates, do it for the memory of Karl. Plus with the pushed back kickoff, it would possibly give some of the old boys a chance to come watch. Let's have a good practice tomorrow, and a great weekend of rugby boys. Btw, I attached the email from their coach. Cheers

Gentlemen,

 

For those who don't know, a former GVSU rugby member and recent graduate of GVSU passed away last Friday. (Karl Wint aged 26)

His funeral is scheduled for this coming Saturday at 11am in Ada.

 

GVSU voted and are still committed to playing our match Saturday.

 

Due to the time of the funeral and to ensure the club doesn't feel rushed we have pushed back the kickoff time until 2pm.

 

As as sign of respect to the GVSU club and to the family of Karl Wint we will be wearing black tape on our sleeves and have a minute silence prior to the start of the match.

 

If anyone has any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me.

 

When you have a quiet moment sometime today or this week, please pray for the Wint Family.
