Freshman Academy Move-In Volunteer Opportunity
Baseball, Volleyball, Hockey, Rugby and Lacrosse:
The Freshman Academy, students who come from underrepresented high schools or students who are the first in their family to attend college, will be moving into the North C dorm on Aug. 17 from 3-6pm. The GVSU staff responsible for coordinating this move-in, has asked me to help find roughly 10 -15 volunteers who will help move these 60 students and their belongings into the dorm.
As a reminder, as a part of the new Club Sports Tier System, one of the requirements of clubs in the top 2 tiers (which includes your teams), is the completion of a minimum of 1 community service, outreach, or volunteer project per academic year. If you are able to get at least 10 members of your team to volunteer for this project, this opportunity would suffice for the volunteer requirement.
