prayer requests

Hey everyone,

Here are the prayer requests for this week:

Lori - please pray for her sister, Leah, who has fibromyalgia and is struggling with her health

Ways - please pray for Allison's job search, and also for Allison/Hannah as they near the end of her pregnancy. Praise that Hannah's heart looked good today at the doctor!!

Kerbys - Jill has a field trip this Friday and is feeling anxious about it

Jollys - please pray for Sarah's friend who is having a miscarriage. This is her first pregnancy, and they were (of course) very excited.

We talked about a couple of different options for next weekend (Mother's Day), but never really decided on anything. Do you guys want to meet? Let me know what you think!

My mom starts chemo in Houston tomorrow. It didn't work out financially to do it in Austin in a timely manner so she will be traveling to Houston every 3 weeks for treatments.

I know the other dads may kill me for saying this, but I think the idea of the dad's watching the kids while the mom's go out and treat themselves to dinner is a good one. It is Mother's Day after all.. : )

We are fine with whatever everyone wants to do!  We had discussed maybe hosting everyone at our house and doing a bbq cookout, but if girls would rather go out, I think that's fine.  I have to be honest and say right this minute, I am thinking I would rather spend time WITH my boys than without.  (This is probably because I am away from them more than you others- especially this week with lots of extra things going on at school- and because I know our lives are about to change in a major way and I'm trying to soak up every second with my family of three before Hannah arrives- so yall don't feel bad!)  I'm fine with whatever majority would like!

I'm good with whatever. But when it comes to father's day, I would prefer to spend time with the little guy that calls me daddy and remember how blessed I am to have him. :) just sayin'.

On an unrelated note, we'll be asking for your man card at the next guys meeting. (I hope this doesn't reveal too much about what we talk about up there...). 

I'm ok with whatever. I agree that the best approach is to plan on meeting at the Ways, and the girls can decide in interim if and who of the ladies goes out.

Nice save, Tim!  I will remember that you want all that bonding time with Jacob on Father's Day, so I'll be sure to schedule a pedicure :)! Personally, I would love to get out with just the girls for a more relaxed evening (after spending the afternoon with my sweet boys!), so Lori, give us some restaurant options when you can. If others would prefer not to do this, that's ok too!

How's Cheesecake Factory? If not, Olive Garden would be my second suggestion.  (They both do a grilled fish with steamed veggies that are clean)  I don't mind staying for the bbq or coming just for the company either,  everyone was just being so honest....  If someone has their heart set on somewhere else, I'm open to others. Reservations might be a good idea  depending on location and head count if we can decide ahead of time .

Allright, well after my doctor's visit yesterday, I think it might be best if we unvolunteered our house for Sunday.  Sorry!  :-(  I am having more contractions with each day and I am dilated 3 cm already.  Cleaning the house and hosting a bunch of men and kids might not be best for me and Hannah, and I would really like for her to come when SHE is ready, not because I over did things.  Sorry to back out, but I think I will need the weekend to recover from this week, especially after field day today!  :-(  Hope you all have a fun night!
