Dear Small Group Leaders & Teachers,

As we continue in Mission Emphasis this week, we would like your small group to discuss the following and return to us your feedback.

You can include the things your group comes up with and “reply all” to this email.

 

Jesus told his followers they would receive the Holy Spirit and they were to be his witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. (see Acts 1:8)

Jerusalem was the place they lived, it was their “home base,” it was where they spent their lives and what was familiar.

Allen, TX and the surrounding area (McKinney, Plano, Lucas, etc.) is our where we live…it is our Jerusalem.

Brainstorm, if you will, what are the best ways for us as a church to impact our Jerusalem (Allen and surrounding)?

AND what are the barriers to doing what you come up with?

 

You might want to read the attached article that talks about people not wanting to be a part of organized religion and what one Pastor and his church are doing about it.

 

*There will be no prep class this Wednesday, but we will reconvene next Wednesday, April 17.
