Good morning everyone, we missed lots of you yesterday - I think everyone is having a busy spring! We have plenty to pray for, so lets keep each other in mind throughout the week.
Sawyers - Christine's dad is still not doing well, and they are also working to get through the details of Clint's mom's estate.
Turnbows - Lori is still healing and they will be moving later this week (!!)
Ways - Randy and Allison are currently searching for jobs, and Randy has two interviews this week.
Cuellars - also busy getting ready to move, and lets pray for Karen's mom as doctors determine her treatment course.
Jollys - we have a praise; my dad has accepted a job in OK!! They will be moving down as soon as their house sells

Please let me know if I've forgotten anything. This week lets do baked potatoes. We'll provide the potatoes! See you soon.

I missed the prayer requests last night, so I have a few to add to our list. Please pray for my friend, Betsy. She was recently beaten up and large amounts of the date rape drug were found in her blood. Through this experience, she has since reached out to her family for help, admitting that she has an addiction to alcohol and some prescription drugs. She is in a treatment facility in OK and has a husband and 2 young daughters. I am praying that she will find the Lord through all of this. She was raised in a "Christian" home, but it really has not been a part of their lives. Thanks!

I think there has been other replies for what people are bringing food wise but I can't find those emails...let me know if I'm duplicating anything. We'll bring bacon bits, sour cream and some diced up ham.

Sorry we are just now replying. We weren't sure if we would still have family in town or not. We will be there. We will bring butter and some BBQ pork.

Hey everyone, sorry this email is a little slow getting out. This week for dinner, let's do something easy, like pizza! You can bring a side, drinks, and/or a few bucks to pitch in. Just let me know if you're coming so I know how much to order.

Here are the prayer requests for the week:

Jollys - Sarah's parents are working to sell their house and find one in OK

Ways - Allison has a very busy couple of weeks with state testing. She's also looking for a job closer to home. Randy has a job offer! He's still interviewing for other possibilities, but is thankful for the opportunities God is providing!

Kerbys - lots going on right now... working with a fertility specialist, both Tim and Jill are unhappy at work and looking at other possibilities, and they are considering whether or not to sell their house. All of this uncertainty is creating more anxiety and panic attacks for Jill. Also, please continue to pray for Jill's friend Betsy, who is in rehab.

Cuellars - Karen just emailed about her mom, who was just diagnosed with stage 4 cancer so please continue to pray about that.

Sawyers - they are still working through everything involved with Clint's mom's estate, and Christine's dad is still having numerous health issues. I don't think that one sentence does justice for all they've been going through since before Christmas!

Turnbows - moved into their apartment, let's hope things settle down for a few months before they have to move again. :)

Have a great week!
Sarah

Just an update on my dad....He went back into the hospital Sunday night after falling at home. At that time his blood pressure was 70/50 and my mom had to get a neighbor to help her get him into the car b/c he refused going by ambulance.  He is at a different hospital this time and so far, it seems that these new doctors are dedicated to finding out a true diagnosis and not discharging him until that happens.  My dad is still having the same symptoms of throwing up after even a couple of bites of food, his blood pressure dropping if he sits up or especially stands, etc.  A couple of things the drs are looking at is a possible heart valve not working properly, "something" (Mom can't remember the name) where the diabetes causes sever damage to the nerve endings in dad's body or an imbalance in hormones caused by the kind of dialysis dad is on.  They are starting testing for these 3 things today.  I covet your prayers on the doctors truly being able to finding what the problem is and finding a very specific way of treating it so my dad can have some kind of quality of life.  He is pretty miserable, but still in good spirits.

Some good news is that they have already had an occupational and physical therapist working with him to help him learn how to move around by himself even in his weakened state.  And my dad has already agreed that whenever they discharge him that he will go into a rehab facility to continue to learn to care for himself (if able) so that if he is left alone at home he can manage.

As always, I truly appreciate all of your concern and prayers.
Christine

Just a quick update - we discussed elders visiting our group this month, and they've asked to do so this coming Sunday. We'd like for everyone to get a chance to talk to them, so we'll go in two groups - be thinking about whether you'd prefer doing it like we usually do, where ladies watch kids while guys meet and vice versa, or whether you'd prefer going with your spouse and doing it that way. See you soon!

We'll bring some drinks for tomorrow. Clint and I are okay with us keeping it guys talking to the elders and then ladies go...we are okay with however we decide to do this.

We're ordering pizza only for people who respond, so if you haven't signed off for pizza, please do (or be prepared to watch as we all enjoy delicious , delicious pizza).

We'd prefer to meet as a couple, so why don't we let each family decide on their own if they'd like to go together or separately.

We'd prefer the guy/girl split.

Vivian woke up sick to her stomach this morning, so we won't be there tonight.  Please keep her in your prayers.  This is her first time to be sick like this.

We may send some suggestions for the elders via email later on today.

My large family is still here from Mikayla's party yesterday so we are going to stay home tonight. We have a LOT of cleaning up to do from 14 people since the house is still technically on the market.

I hope Vivian feels better soon! For anyone who missed or thought of something after the fact, the elders told us we should feel free to email them with anything else we think of. Thanks!
