Thanks for the email. I’ll try to get it out before the 25th. May be as late as Thursday. More notice is best, but I want to help you all fill this event.
As for fund raisers, we offer a great option: called Kids Win program. The league runs a sporting goods and fitness equipment drive – both among your members and also the public at large – where people drop off all their sporting goods and fitness equipment, and we come pick it up and pay you cash for it all. If it is sellable, we’ll buy it; if not, we’ll haul it away and take care of it (so you don’t have to deal with the junk people drop off). If this sounds like something you want to do, I can help get the word out and instruct you on how to set it up.
By the way, we have a lot of lax helmets right now and they are really affordable.
Please stay in touch about the fund raiser and anything else going on with the league – we can hand out sign up sheets and let people know about sign ups (both in the store and with our email blasts).

The Gallatin Valley Lacrosse League along with Montana State University's Men's Lacrosse team is sponsoring a Youth Lacrosse Clinic on Saturday, April 25 at 1:00 on the Bozeman High School's soccer fields. The clinic is open to anyone who would like to try out Lacrosse. Beginner's are welcome. Lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in the United States. Just a quick update on the meeting we had last night:
-Colleen found a trailer for a good price and will purchase it. We will need a volunteer to store it on their property in the off season. Please let Colleen know if you’d be able to do that for our first year or know someone that could.
-Clinic is on Sunday from 1-5 (girls 1-3 only) with a boys scrimmage 3-5. At the high school fields.
NEXT MEETING: Tuesday, April 27 at 5:30 in the SUB cafeteria. It is important that everyone makes it because we will be discussing advertising & fundraising. We’ll have fliers printed and ready for distribution.
Ben, to answer your question, it would be great to have a discussion about goals and ideas at this next meeting. Hope you can make it.

| I have some good news, there is an insurance policy we can purchase for events such as these clinics. i have the info from us lacrosse and will get on it this afternoon but it gets everyone off the hook for getting a us lacrosse number. it will cost under $100 per event and i would like to pupose that GVLL pays for the insurance and msu takes care of organizing and advertising the clinic. Thank you to the Hecks for getting this out with play it again, i received the flyer in my email today and he did a great job! the msu team started putting up flyers yesterday, we did get approval from the bozeman school district so they are going up in the middle schools and high school and Belgrade. I will keep you updated on the insurance and at Tuesdays meeting we can make our final decision on who is paying for it. MSU is thinking that
the clinics should be a separate flyer instead of cramming too much info on one so lets talk about that too. there must have been an issue with uploading the website at our meeting Tuesday but I have that resolved and will put more info on when i have the insurance confirmed. thanks everyone!!! oh and Robyn, that would be great if you could be at the clinic to take money and reg. forms. My daughter has a soccer game that day which starts at 12:30pm. I need to drop her off and then get to the clinic. I could get there around 12:45pm. If there's someone else who could get there earlier that would be good.

I am sorry I am missing tonight’s meeting again. I have been totally wound up in my volunteer efforts on the Board of the Gallatin Valley Land Trust where we need to recruit a new ED and raise lots of money. It would help me to know what figure is being targeted for GVLL fundraising. Thanks if the group decides on a target. My son will probably not be able to participate in lax this year but hopes to starting next spring. Ben
