Hi,

I've created a VM built from the latest official AMI for EKS node (amazon-eks-node-1.20-v20211101-2021-11-01T08-17-15Z) and I run the steps from this tutorial and then created an AMI that i use to create nodes in my cluster.
The nodes come up but appear "Not Ready"
This is what I see in describe node:

runtime network not ready: NetworkReady=false reason:NetworkPluginNotReady message:Network plugin returns error: cni plugin not initialized

The kubelet on the node runs with these flags:
/usr/bin/kubelet --cloud-provider aws --config /etc/kubernetes/kubelet/kubelet-config.json --kubeconfig /var/lib/kubelet/kubeconfig --container-runtime=remote --container-runtime-endpoint=unix:///run/containerd/containerd.sock --node-ip=10.1.6.233 --pod-infra-container-image=xxx.dkr.ecr.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/eks/pause:3.4-eksbuild.1 --v=2 --node-labels=runtime=gvisor

Can anyone assist?

Thank you in advance,

Liya
