Hi team,

We're trying to utilize gVisor checkpoint/restore but I found in the public doc, it mentioned: "It's not supported on the arm64 architecture".

I also tried `runsc cpu-features` on my arm64 machine and it shows checkpoint/resotre commands are (experimental).

I wonder if it's suggested to use this feature on arm64 architecture, especially on a real production code, thanks.

Hi Chenwei,

I think that sentence may be misleading. checkpoint/restore is supported on ARM64, we even test for it: https://buildkite.com/gvisor/pipeline/builds/39340#019b69fb-4ea6-4124-8660-b98418e83805

I think we meant to say that GPU checkpointing is not supported on ARM64, due to lack of support for it in cuda-checkpoint. I will fix it.

The checkpoint/restore commands are marked  "(experimental)" even on AMD64, so it is not ARM specific. We have matured checkpoint/restore support substantially and have been using it in production.
