POS Process Failed - LiGeoreference

Hello,

I'm currently running version 1.5.4 (build Jun 5 2023 17:14:49) and when I run the POS Process it fails. This happens on multiple datasets, in different project areas.

Has anyone encountered the same problem? I'm guessing it has to be a bug within this current version but it would be great to know if anyone else is running the same version with no issues.

I've been getting the same error as well, and with the same version. It happens on all my datasets. It makes the software completely useless as I can't get past this step in the process. I've been trying since late June in between trips for fieldwork and am behind on delivering work for my clients because of this.

Very frustrating, I dealt with license key issues previous to this with the Green Valley suite and now that this is sorted out there is another bug with they're software. I'm in the same position where I've got a backlog of data and clients waiting for deliverables. 

I think I will try reverting back to an older version.

It's good not to feel alone. This is my fist time working with LiGeo after using other software before. It's been a total nightmare. I recently just uninstalled and reinstalled. Same issues. I'll go back to an old version as well and let you know if it works.

For sure. I just tried V1.2, but of course my license key doesn't work with this version.

I just tried V1.3 and used an old trial license that worked. But, now it's telling me "LiNav Process Failed" and then "Pos process task run failed." So it seems to be even worse. 

I called the reseller I got it from and they said that other people have been telling them that they're having the same problems as us. I really don't know what to do, I've been pretty much full-time fighting against LiGeoreference the past week and for another week in late July thinking the problem is me but I don't think it is. I'll try a couple more things, almost certainly for nothing, but if by some miracle the software actually works I'll let you know what happened and how I did it. Good luck.

Thanks man, that's nice of you to offer. Do you use LiGeoreference or something else? If you use LiGeo, is it working for you and if so, what version are you running?

Hey guys, I uninstalled version 1.5, installed version 1.4.

1.4 didn't work so I uninstalled it and re-installed 1.5. It still didn't work so I uninstalled it again. Then I downloaded 1.5 again and re-installed it. I have now got past the POS task - it worked. 

To be clear: I changed nothing about my process, data, folder structure. Nothing. I just un-installed and re-installed version 1.5 out of frustration and now it seems to have worked, once. Once this dataset is finished I'll try another one and let you know if it works.

I use LiGeo. 1.5.4 

And I have the same problem as you guys, but only on my laptop. My workstation has the same version, but it works fine. I don’t know why?!

Hello all, this is Alvin from GVI Support. Thank you all for leaving messages in the forum. If the data processing problems still persist, please zip and send the data (including base station files) to me or sup...@greenvalleyintl.com for us to analyze the problem.
If LiGeoreference was not working normally on specific computers, please confirm whether there is any antivirus installed on the computers. If yes, please re-install and then add the installation folder of our software to the whitelist of the antivirus. We believe this kind of issue should most likely be caused by the antivirus that accidentally recognized our software as a risk so blocked or deleted certain files. If the above cannot fix the issues, it would be great to provide screen recordings of issues to help us better locate the problem. Thank you all again.

Hi All,

I still have had no luck, I removed my anti-virus software, un-installed Ligeo, rebooted computer, re-instaleld Ligeo and it still fails. Tried this on 3 different computers with the same result. Alvin, I have sent you an email with the data and screen recording of my process.

Hope this gets resolved soon, I will keep this group posted.
