Hi, dear.
I've corrected point cloud data of coal ash pile.
Its size is not so big. Simply speaking, width is 20m, length is 30m, height is 6m.
It's not like a cubic but like a pyramid.
I'm using "Volume measurement". But the result seems somewhat smaller than manual calculation.
If you have some experience of this kind of calculation, could you please let me know?
Best,
Takashi

Hi

Thanks for you asking.

assuming that the volume you calculate manually  is based on the equation: 1/3*length*width*height isn't it?  If yes, remind that the algorithm in LiDAR360 is totally different, more specifically, LiDAR360 perform volume measurement by accumulating the volume of small cubic that fill your selected space.  Thus, could you tell me you parameters you set in the volume measurement including cell size and basic height and data source?

Regards

X Shi
