Happy New Year from Nevada County Shambhala Meditation Group!

We had a great time at Hospitality House last night!! Thanks everyone who participated; the folks there are always so grateful and it is so rewarding to start the year out with some service work! The next Hospitality House is on February 14th :)

Just a reminder that Venerable Geshe Phelgye, a longtime friend of Shambhala and global scholar at Gonzaga University in Washington,is coming for a visit with us this Sunday at 6pm. We will have a sit, then a talk about Basic Goodness, then a Q&A. There will be refreshments too!

 Geshe Phelgye is founder of the Universal Compassion Movement www.universalcompassion.org  and has served two terms in the Tibetan Parliment in exile at Dharamsala. He earned his Geshe degree in India, at the Sera-jey Monastery, and completed a five year solitary retreat under the supervision of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, just to name a few of his accomplishments!
