GTS ignition timing

I want to check the ignition timing on my new-to -me GTS but can't for the life of me, remember what it should be. I'm guessing it's not the same as the OHV engines? Any advice eappreciated, thanks.

Personally I use 6 degrees BFTDC as an initial setting and achieve this by cutting a hole in a timing disc and sticking it to the flywheel. Seems easier to me than measuring the periphery of the flywheel. An expert told me modern fuels burn slower that the old leaded stuff so presumably should be advanced slightly more? Another expert said exactly the opposite so? Don’t think the valve gear has a lot to do with it, it’s the time it takes to burn, your trying to achieve maximum force at 10 degrees AFTDC or so an expert informed me 🙄 Had Falcone ticking over nicely at 125 RPM 🤔.

Modern fuel needs retarding a touch though the modest compression ration of those singles isn't going to complain if you don't.
