Hi all,
Is there any publication that intreprets what a Falcone Engine and Frame Number means? ie/ FAExxx/FASxxx

Also, are there any in depth books on the Marque that go into great detail of the brand more specifically the model?

Thank you,

Tom McBride

Hi Tom,
there are a few things about Falcones that should be said; some Sport
Falcone came out of
Italy with the wrong engine or with wrong internals. The Falcone engine
will fit straight into the
Falcone frame only; one can force it into an Astore or GTV or GTW frame
by milling some material off the swing arm spindle housing. Astore GTV
GTW engines will fit right in
the Falcone frame. One can tell with external observation from the left
side on the bike If one has a
Falcone engine or not; to tell if one has a sport or a turismo engine,
one has to go inside some of
the engine parts. Contact me off forum and I will be glad to give you
more details.

ALSO~
Is it common or uncommon for the Frame/Engine alpha numeric identifiers to be the same or different?

I have a Frame identifier FAE46 and Engine FAE29 (Common or uncommon)

Thanks in advance for any input(s)

Happy New Year,

Tom McBride

Common ,,mine are F95 CM = frame # but also stamped on my frame backbone is this number IGM 3114 OM guzzi ,,,,,,F58 CM = motor.

My bike came from Germany and has a riveted tag on it to printed in German. It also had a German log book which I wish I still had. My DMV destroyed it when I turned in my registration paperwork. It was a beautiful document.

Thank you Tim!
I appreciate your reply.
