Greetings all! Anybody out there have an Airone kick start lever (and peg) they would part with. A resource for one would also be appreciated. I think I may have seen references to “Retro”? here. Thanks, Mike

Haha! Well I try.
They have been real good to me. Usually have replied to email in a day, maybe two. They also have the parts books online so you can look up your own numbers.

Am I missing something? I can't see any actual parts list on the Guzzi Retro site - https://www.guzziretro.com/. Just general statements on what they do.  Are you supposed to email them with what you are looking for?

Also they don't mention Guzzino.  Any suggestions for a good source for those?

My rear number plate and tail light vibrated free and flew away in the breeze when I was proudly doing a maximum speed run of 33 mph.

Hmm, this looks like the address of their website. I was trying to copy the page that has the "manuals" link. On the main page click on google translate-English. Then I think their is a parts search link at the top of the page. If you click on that you should come to a page that has the Manuals link, about halfway down.
I didn't see a Guzzino or Motoleggero catalog. I would ask via email,

Andrew,

So you’re speaking of a 65cc Motoleggera?

If you look at pages 5 and 6 of the Use e manutenzione manual here, https://www.rpw.it/Files/Guzzi_Motoleggera65_UEM_06-1948.pdf  or Tavola 6 in the Catalog Ricambi, here https://www.rpw.it/Files/Guzzi_motoleggera65-7ed-1954_CPR.pdf they do not show the same number plate you show in your photo. The plate holders appear to be part of the fender itself and not a separate part.
Maybe be on the lookout for an early Airone plate holder, as in https://www.rpw.it/Files/Guzzi_Airone%201953%20-%20Catalogo%20ricambi.pdf, see TAV 11.

The only time I’v purchased from Retro Guzzi was in person while at the 100th in September of 2022.  It is a really impressive little shop with loads of new and used parts for a wide range of models.   I went to purchase with part numbers in hand and came away very happy…  Maybe send them a copy of the photo of your plate holder and ask if they have something along those lines.

I have a listing for vintage Guzzi parts vendors. It is mostly up to
date. Let me know if you see errors or omissions.

Yes, Guzzi Retro seems the current favorite. They are in the little town
of Abbadia Lariana which is one station south of Mandello del Lario on
the local train. They actually share parking space with the train
station. Step off the train, walk 200 meters diagonally across the
parking lot, enjoy your shopping!

Hi Mike,

Many thanks. Yes the 65 cc Motoleggera. Spanish built version.  I eventually found a Spanish site for Moto Guzzi Hispania and I've ordered a lamp and plate holder that looks the same!  Let's see if they arrive!. Getting stuff from Europe is a nightmare since Brexit. The little bike is a hoot!

Guzzi Retro sounds great. I hope to get there in person one day but how to avoid coming away with a huge load of tempting parts! When Tadini was functioning in Bergamo I had to buy a huge suitcase for a Sport 15 exhaust! Surprisingly it all went through airport security!

V best,

Andrew

Guzzi Retro bought all of Tadini's parts but it took a long time to to get them from Bergamo as the Finance Police took an interest in Tadini's business after he passed away

Interesting.  I often wondered what happened to Tadini’s parts. It was fascinating to visit.

Marco is a star! I was in the shop two weeks ago buying spares. He gave me full credit on a Galletto headlight that was incorrect for my motorcycle. On the off chance I asked if he had V65 pistons, rings and gudgeon pins. He searched the whole shop and came up trumps. It is s real Aladdin’s cave for Guzzisti. He even has a 1921 Normale for sale. (I did not ask the price as I thought I would be leaving the shop short of an arm and a leg!) cheers Phil
