1950 Airone Valve Clearances

I have very low compression on a rebuilt 1950 Airone.   Since I haven't adjusted the valves, I suspect that's the issue.  Can anyone tell me what the clearances are?

Just the slightest,.002" is enough. Clearance will increase when hot.

RTFM as they say.


There are quite a few Airone variants by year and not always easy to find the clearances but if yours is the enclosed valve gear variant then standard clearances are when engine cold , as per Falcone, 0.05mm inlet and 0.1mm exhaust ( that's 2 and 4 thou in imperial numbers)  .  Not necessarily easy to find in the manuals depending on exactly which year
