I'm helping someone to identify model and year of a vintage single.  We suspect GTV but it is not complete.

Frame  number is 14669.

Does anyone else have a frame anywhere near to this number?  If so, what year is yours?

This one is in Wisconsin. I don't know the owner as the pictures were sent to me for an ID. I shared them with everyone and I think we all guessed it was in the 1940's ?

Patrick, I believe that number is from early to mid 40s. Iven if it is incomplete, can you send photos? That would help greatly. Thanks

You guys are way smarter and have much more experience in these matters than I do.  And of course I had a know model to ask about, but the museo  was quite helpful and prompt in giving me an exact build day when I sent them frame and engine numbers on my 57' Lodola.   Or, maybe there's a cut off where they don't have records, i.e. production pre-war?

Hey Folks,

Long story short, I need a good insurance company for a '72 Honda and
a '52 Falcone. Anyone out there have a company they like? I'm in CA.

Thanks,

-Nick

Diamond Insurance in Long Beach.  I had my 72 Eldorado with them.  They pretty much only do bikes -- represent Progressive, I believe, and they treated me VERY well!

The only way to go for collector bike [or car] insurance is Hagerty. Their premiums are very low, they let you set your own value,
and drive the thing here and there. I have about a dozen with them.

Try finding an insurance company that does collectible vehicle insurance.

Nick,
I have an old high school friend that specializes in motorcycle
insurance. His name is John Haaker. He's an enthusiast and Six Days vet.
We have my modern bikes on Progressive and my collectibles on
Metropolitan Direct.
He handles most of, if not all of the riders here at Motion Pro.

I just got a Gilera 125 ISDT. Some of you ebay hawks may have seen it
being sold by Michael Tiernan in St. Louis.

Is anyone here familiar with these? I need some sort of manual that will
have capacities and valve clearances. I also lost the kick starter.
Swings through smoothly but no engagement. Hopefully it just a spring or
something. I did get to ride it a little but and it seems to run very
well and all 5 gears are there.

It should look sweet parked next to the Stornello.

I assume you mean a 124 from the 1960's? If so, I have Manual materials
for both the Gilera, and also the version that was sold by Sears. The
mechanics are the same, but the Sears model was at a reduced spec. for
trim and details.

Parts are available from Bob Wright Motorcycles in the UK.

I use Hagerty Antique Insurance, since I also have antique cars with them. But they'll bikes and boats on their own, too.

Thanks Steven,
No, It's a 125 ISDT. Bob Wright didn't have any thing shown for these on
his website although he may have something in stock. I think the engine
is essentially the same as a 124 but this bike was designed for the
ISDT, much like the Stornello and Lodola ISDT models.
Do you sell the manuals?
I did find the basics in Itertec's Vintage manual.

No...I just have them for my own 124. I can easily photocopy and mail
the specification pages. Where would you like them sent?

That's okay Steven. I appreciate the offer but I can just go ahead and
buy the manuals. Plus I did find the basic stuff in the Intertec manual.

Thanks for the offer tho...

I also cast my vote for Haggerty.  I have a bunch of stuff with them.  Lately I've been adding and deleting on-line.  Answer a few questions, email a picture, and in a day or two you've got an insurance card to print out.  I have had no claims experience with them (thank goodness) but have talked to others that have.  They were very happy.
