Stornello Gasket kits, or???

I'm polishing the engine case covers and other goodies on my stonello.
They're coming out nice. My philosophy on this is to clean and
"rejuvenate", but I leave some of the deeper scratches, discolorations
and "war wounds" in the pieces just to respect the miles that the bike
has traveled before me.

The P.O. had sealed the covers with gasket sealer and not used a paper
gasket. Is this "standard procedure" now, or should I find a gasket kit
to do it properly?

Where do I get a gasket kit in the US? Looks like MG Cycle has the
valve cover, but that's about it. Harper's only has a couple of pieces
but not the complete set.

Danilo.......... try Bob Farris here in Illinois 815-384-3715. The only way to contact him is by land line. Oldtimer with old guzzi stuff for loop frames and some small stornello singles but not vintage singles like most of us have.

If you can't find them, They are easy to make. Get a couple rolls of gasket material and give it a go!
