MD27 float source?

Helping with Augusto's Astore again... he wants to replace a suspect float that has a bit of a gouge in it.

We cant find in italy ATM.... any other sources?

delloroto.co.uk online catalog doesnt show a 14 gram (thats the weight right?) one....

Is it a gouge that breaks the surface?  Does the float rattle with petrol when you shake it?  Does it emit a stream of bubbles from the gouge -or anywhere - when you drop it in a pan of clean hot water - and maybe turn up the heat?   If not just leave well alone and use it.  It can hardly get worse.  

 It is impossible to solder old brass floats. Spider- like cracks just spread out from the repair. 

Petrol-proof tank resin impregnated with a single skinny layer of thin glass cloth or nylon wrapped round can work too I’m told.

You can also hear liquid inside of a leaky brass or any hollow float.

can we confirm its 14 grams? 

in all off ebay the only one augusto found is in israel of all palces, not sure how easy/reliable it is to send from there to europe... price is reasonable, doest look too good nice
