Thanks for posting this Patrick. I visited Paulo this morning and brought it home with me 😊
One question, would the’52 sport have have chrome side panels on the tank or black ones??
Also, a plea for the correct headlamp assembly and one tool box …
Thx, dave

Congrats Dave

Studying the photos it appears to have 25mm diameter handlebars and a early oil tank.
Doing a quick search on a for a 1952 Falcone brought up this one:

That will give you a clue as to how it should loo and note that it woudl be an early 1952 model..

Turismos tanks were not chromed and later Sports were not either.

From late 1952 handlebars were all 22mm.

Though I have a late Sport I did change to 25mm handlebars as I found they gave a more comfortable grip and coincidentally  also matched my 1947 Dondolino and my 1938 GTC/L

Hope this helps.
Oh note YMMV as lots of people may well have different views on this topic.

Gordon

Chris' Falcone is titled as a '51 so I wanted to correct that and it is nearly a carbon copy of the bike Gordon posted.

Maybe some of the guzzi vendors overseas have some pictures of their bikes on their websites .

According to Falloons book, the Turismo had black panels in 1953 when it was introduced (replacing the Astore) and the previous Falcone was designated Sport. Both Sport and Turismo models had black tank panels in ‘54 and ‘55. The Sport reverted to chrome in ‘56 but his book doesn’t say whether the Turismo did also. I thought both models did?  I have an original ‘63 which has chrome panels on the tank.

The Mario’s big book says black panels in ‘52. ???  Maybe early vs late’52.  May very well have come down to what was available that day.  Obviously there were changes going on
