"Estate Auction" Those words usually mean that everything is really for sale, not picked over, and sold without reserves. While my good friend and customer for over 25 years, Mike Harper is alive and well, he has consigned his motorcycle collection to J. Wood and Company to sell without reserve. Mike and his wife, Alice, have decided to retire and are selling this collection

for that purpose. Mike's son Curtis will continue to operate the Harper's Moto Guzzi international parts service. You could call this a "Living Estate Auction"
We have the whole collection that Mike started in about 1963 and there are some great motorcycles in it. I have been in the motorcycle business for over 51 years and Mike has bikes and other items that I have never seen before and in some cases did not know existed.
We have about 325 or more motorcycles as well as parts, memorabilia, some rare 3-wheel trucks, Scooters, a '55 Chevy and three antique trucks. There are a lot of Italian and British machines and some of about everything else. They start at 50cc and go to 1,100cc. Most are 1930's to 1970's with a few later models.
We feel that we will have something for everybody. Some of the bikes are like new with dust on them, some of them need a bit of cleaning and freshening up after their long rest and some are projects. Did you know that both Honda and BSA made motor-wheels? I didn't and we have one of each. Many of the motorcycles are wonderful art and some will be great riders.
We are posting a list of all of the brands that we have found so far as well as some photographs. There are buildings chock full, so we will be adding information, lists and more photos as we gather them. You can sign up for our email service right on our website and you will be notified when we get more information up. Mike and Alice live on a large farm with hundreds of acres and any registered buyers may stay on-site in self contained RV's if they like. The auction will be in Greenwood Missouri, not far from the Kansas City Airport. There are hotels and restaurants nearby as well as beautiful scenery and parks. This will be a historic event that you won't want to miss. Nothing will be sold before the auction! There are no prices, so please don't ask, just plan to come.
