Well I uninstalled Office SharePoint 2010 and sure enough Office Picture Manager went with it. I had hoped that would not happen; that maybe picture manager would stand alone. I think I will give it up because to keep it means installing, at this point, 55 more updates for Office 2010 on top of the 3 I did download/install. (All three uninstalled with SharePoint and Picture Manager.) So I seem to be clean of Office 2010 updates and SharePoint 2010. Disappointed about loosing Picture Manager. Oh well.
Hi everyone. I don't own any of microsoft office suites and I don't need one. We are using 2007 and 2010 packages of office at work and both of them come with microsoft picture manager and I would really like this handy piece of software for my pc but without need for buying office.

My cousin's brother re-sized all the images to 25% (or so) using MS office picture manager. There were a few pictures that appeared fine after being re sized, but the majority of the pictures are blank (showing a white blank background). All what I can see is a white background, images are in same sizes, also the dimention. Has anyone gone through such a scenario?? or anyone can say what could cause such an issue??

I took four pictures using the camera on my LG V30 phone. The first picture was taken with the top of my phone pointing up. I have a number of photo's which are >7mb in size and I want to upload them online for a photobook. I have uploaded photo's of this size to numerous photobook sites before but this particular site for photobooks suggests reducing the size to 2-3mb otherwise the software will be very slow. I have compressed photo's of this size before in Microsoft picture manager (when I want to use them on my pc at work as screen savers but I haven't got much drive space) and they have looked ok on screen but will this affect the print quality? The largest size photo I would have in the photo book would be approx A4.

PS The salary of the President of the United States is not a useful standard of comparison for other public sector positions. Presidents after the term of office have the potential to cash in with hefty speaker fees, book deals, et.
stanford is private sector and pa city manager is a public job which supported by tax dollars we paid. It does not make sense this high and so much benefits specially under current circumstances. Will he do pay cut?
We need talented people leading our local government. Without paying a good salary, the best people will switch to the private sector. Positions like President or Governor carry their own reward, whereas city manager is a thankless job.
The best run governments, e.g. Singapore and Switzerland, pay high salaries, and the public gets back so much more in return. If anything, I would advocate increased salaries for our local government, especially in key leadership positions.
